Interior Comparison
The 2024 Honda Odyssey and the 2024 Toyota Sienna offer approximately 163 cubic feet of interior space. They are three-row minivans, offering second and third-row bench seats by default. In this configuration, they can carry up to eight adults. Toyota also offers a seven-seat captain chair configuration with two separate second-row seats. However, Honda counters with its excellent Magic Slide® second-row seats. These three individual seats can be reconfigured and even removed from the vehicle. So, it is possible to create a two-seat second-row configuration. If you specify captain chairs, you can't do this with the 2024 Sienna; you are limited to seven seats.
Then, Honda offers a quieter and more refined experience in the 2024 Odyssey. That’s because all trims get active engine mounts to quell powertrain vibrations from reaching the passenger cabin. Furthermore, active noise cancellation is standard for the 2024 Odyssey range. The system actively cancels out road and engine noise for a hushed interior. The 2024 Sienna doesn’t offer either of these features.
Two family-friendly features of the 2024 Odyssey range are its CabinWatch® and CabinTalk® systems. These allow the driver to visually monitor the third row and communicate with occupants seated there via the vehicle's rear speakers. The 2024 Sienna doesn't offer similar features. But both minivans include Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ support. They’ve also got Bluetooth® for hands-free and wireless audio streaming. Buyers of either model can also choose rear entertainment systems. The 2024 Odyssey is available with a 550-watt audio system upgrade too.
The 2024 Odyssey and the 2024 Sienna offer around 33 cubic feet of cargo space. They also have folding third and second-row seats. Here, the 2024 Odyssey has a One-Motion third-row Magic Seat® that has 60-40 split-folding capabilities. When this is folded and the second row has been fully removed, users can carry up to 145 cubic feet of cargo. Higher trims of the 2024 Odyssey also get a powered rear tailgate.

Performance Comparison
Every 2024 Odyssey is powered by a 280-hp 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 with 262 lb-ft of torque. The engine powers the front wheels through a 10-speed automatic gearbox. All trims also get paddle shifters for manual gear changing. Furthermore, there’s an intelligent traction management system with a dedicated Snow mode. Honda’s Eco Assist™ system is also present and helps drivers hone their driving style to save fuel when desired.
Toyota only offers the 2024 Sienna in hybrid guise. All examples have a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine plus two electric motors. The system provides up to 245 horsepower and drives the front wheels via a CVT gearbox. Buyers can choose all-wheel drive as well.
Safety Features Comparison
Every 2024 Odyssey is equipped with the Honda Sensing® suite. Standard systems include blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert. Buyers also get adaptive cruise control, a road departure mitigation system and a driver attention monitor with drowsy driver alert. Lane departure warning and lane-keeping assistance are standard, too. Meanwhile, the 2024 Sienna has the older Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0 suite. Hence, it isn’t as well-equipped.
